Indication
The CT Injectable PICC is indicated for short (less than 5 days) and long (greater than 30 days) term access the central venous system for intravenous therapy, power injection of contrast media, and allows for central venous pressure monitoring. For blood sampling, infusion, or therapies, 4F or larger catheter is preferred. The maximum recommended infusion rate is 5ml/sec for power injection of contrast media. The maximum recommended infusion rate may vary by catheter French size and is labeled and printed on the PICC catheter.
